Vintage Knits for Modern Babies : sneak peek!
My publisher, Ten Speed Press, just sent me a sneak peek at the fall 09 catalog and I have to say it is pretty exciting to see my knitting book featured inside. After a year of work, it is a great feeling to see the book in the final form. Vintage Knits for Modern Babies features 25 heirloom-quality patterns simplified for modern knitters. Patterns include caps, booties, blankets, mittens, sweaters, layette sets, toys and more. Vintage Knits will be available in the US as well as NZ, Australia, Canada, UK, and South Africa. Available October 2009.

How divine. After settling on just having two babies and just starting to breathe oxygen again, I see your book and its starts me thinking... My boys are a bit big now, do I have another and knit some of these gorgeous patterns or do I urge others for more nieces and nephews. Maybe the latter.
oh, a big hooray!
Well done Hadley! I feel quite privileged to know a real book author. And I definitely enjoyed helping out with the test knitting and discussing the difference between 'worsted' and 'DK' and '4 ply' and 'fingerling' did you say it was? Can't wait to see the book.
adorable!
I am SO excited about your book! I preordered it (what feels like) ages ago! I would love to do a review of it on my blog when it comes out, if that is OK with you.

Hi,
Is your book for beginners and would it suit a jolly 2 1/2 year old? At daycare all the littles have these divine knitted jumpers and I'm keen to have something for my little boy - his sisters' pink cardis knitted by their great-grandmother look a little silly out of the home ...
Thanks,
Beginner Knitter from NZ.
PS: If you are going to do a blog book tour, I would love to host you one day. :)
